HOW TO LAY TRAVERTINE
To slurry grout unfilled travertine tiles, the grout should be mixed with a little more water than normal, so that the pitted areas are filled during the grouting process. The rustic charm of unfilled travertine is maintained whilst making the tiles easier to keep clean.
Pour the grout across the stone tiles, and fill the holes and joints using a grout float. Grout a small area at a time so that you can wipe away the excess grout before it dries.
You should do this approximately 12 to 24 hours after the tiles have had their first seal of Lithofin MN Stain Stop.
Then clean the area using a wet sponge. Rinse the sponge between wipes. Get rid of all the excess grout as it may be difficult to remove when dry. If you miss any and it dries, you can use Lithofin Power Clean to remove it.
When the grout is dry, the travertine should be buffed with a clean, dry cloth.
